The Keeler Tavern Museum will be screening the 1995 PBS documentary, One Woman, One Vote, on Thursday, September 18, at 7 p.m. in the Garden House. This event is free to the public, and continues their programming on “Strong Women, Strong Legacies.”
One Woman, One Vote, starring Susan Sarandon, documents the rocky road of the women's suffrage movement. The documentary begins in 1848 in Seneca Falls, New York with Elizabeth Cady Stanton's plea for equal rights for women and continues more than 70 years through the 19th Amendment struggle in 1920.
This program is co-sponsored by the Ridgefield League of Women Voters.
