Fun for Grown-Ups at the Paws for the Cause Walk October 5th!

Ed McGill and BMW of Ridgefield have been enthusiastic and loyal supporters of ROAR for several years including hosting ROAR’s biggest annual fundraiser, ROAR with Laughter, and a sponsor of Paws for The Cause.  This year BMW will be displaying 2 cars:  a new BMW as well as a pre-owned Honda Civic which they are giving away to promote their new business, “The Lot”. The Lot sells pre-owned vehicles of all makes and models.  BMW representatives will be on hand with information on how to enter to win. Come and check out both cars!

Ridgefield Author Joe Lane will be signing copies of his book, “Aftershock” with proceeds going to ROAR.  Joe and his wife Barbara embarked on a cross-country motorcycle journey, with his German Shepherd service dog, Ella, sitting in a specially designed trailer. Joe spoke with hundreds of Americans about their experiences since the political-financial earthquake that plunged this nation into what has been termed “The Great Recession”.  At 2:15 come watch Joe and Ella ride up Main Street, right behind the Walk’s “official” Grand Marshal, the Blue Buffalo.

“Adam Broderick believes that good works start in the local community and backs that up by never turning down a local request for auction donations or other support from the salon and spa team.” Adam is a huge animal lover, and ROAR is thrilled to have his support. At Paws for The Cause on Sunday, Adam will be a judge at the Doggie Talent Show starting at 1 pm.  Adam Broderick Salon and Spa has also donated a Raffle Basket to the Cat Tent. The basket is full of fabulous products and goodies from the Salon and includes a gift certificate for a massage.  Adam himself will pick the winner of the raffle at 3:30 pm.  Make sure you visit the Cat Tent for a chance to win!

For a kid, adult and pet-friendly day, register for the Walk now at www.roar-ridgefield.org or in person at Ballard Park the day of the Walk.   All money raised supports the ROAR Donofrio Family Animal Shelter.
