Special Guests Share Musical Gifts with the Community
The Holiday Season is about friends, friends old and new, sharing together this most wonderful time of the year. Join the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, December 6th, 8:00 pm, at Ridgefield High School Auditorium, as we celebrate the season in song with two very special friends of the RSO.
One of the unique gifts given to our community by the RSO is the dedication shown by members of the orchestra. The musicians of the RSO are truly a family, many having performed with the orchestra literally for decades. This stability and continuity- and friendship- builds over the years a sense of communication and musicality that is unparalleled.
Principal Harpist Wendy Kerner joined the RSO thirty years ago in 1984. Juilliard-trained, Wendy delights audiences with her unique virtuosity and elegance. On December 6th, Wendy is treating audiences to a rare solo appearance by the harp in a delightful work by French composer Marcel Grandjany, Aria in Classic Style.
Also on the program are holiday classics- White Christmas, Sleigh Ride and I’ll be Home for Christmas- along with many other seasonal favorites. And as the grand finale, what can top a good old fashioned audience sing-along of carols!
Join us in a special evening of holiday music and open the RSO’s gift to the community- the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Holiday Celebration! Tickets begin at only $25, $20 for seniors, $15 for students, and are available online at www.ridgefieldsymphony.org or by calling the RSO Box Office at 203-438-3889. Come enjoy the company of friends old and new with the RSO!
