Important Turkey Trot Information from Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield

The 33rd annual Turkey Trot 5K and Kids Fun Run on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27, will host more than 1,200 runners. Are you one of them? You can still register Click here. You can also register at the Boys & Girls Club tomorrow from 8:00am to 2:00pm and Thursday morning beginning at 7:00am.

The half-mile Kids Fun Run starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K Turkey Trot follows at 8:30.  

If you have already registered:

Your bib and t-shirts are now ready for pick-up at the Boys & Girls Club.  You can stop by anytime tomorrow, Wednesday November 26th, between 8am & 2pm, or bib pick-up will begin Thanksgiving morning at 7:00am in the Boys & Girls Club gym.

Due to the forecast tomorrow, the Pre-Race Pasta Party sponsored by Planet Pizza originally scheduled for tomorrow at 4pm, will be moved to a pasta lunch tomorrow from 11:30am to 1:30pm.  If we can keep the Club safely staffed beyond 2:00pm, we will send an email announcing extended hours.

It's not too late to register - last minute in-person registration will take place at the Club tomorrow from 8:00am to 2:00pm and Thursday morning beginning at 7:00am - be sure to encourage your family and friends to join us!

A few Race Day Reminders:

  • The Turkey Trot starts and finishes right at the Boys & Girls Club!  Race participants should park in the old High School parking lot, the old Balducci's parking lot, the East Ridge Middle School parking or the public parking lots on Governor Street.  The Boys & Girls Club parking lot is closed to runners.  Cars parked in the Boys & Girls Club lot will not be able to leave until all runners and walkers have completed the race.
  • The Turkey Trot starts promptly at 8:30am.  Shirts and bibs may be picked up in the gym beginning at 7:00am.  
  • Kids - join us for the Kids Fun Run at 8:00am, and follow Tom the Turkey to the finish line!
