Book Talk and Signing with "See Mom Run"Author Megan Searfoss at Ridgefield Library TOMORROW

Join us as we continue a new series of programs dedicated to women’s health and wellness, the Noreen L. Papa - Mothers: Live Your Life Series, which is especially aimed at busy mothers, who don’t always take the time to take care of themselves! The second program in the series will be a talk by Megan Searfoss on Thursday, Jan. 8 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. about her recently released book “See Mom Run: Every Mother’s Guide to Getting Fit and Running Her First 5K.”

Searfoss is a wife and a mother of three daughters who learned to run because she found it an inexpensive, time-saving, and mostly mind-saving exercise. She started Run Like a Mother, a national 5K race designed to encourage women of all levels to experience the gift of running as a means to finding balance in their lives. This program, co-sponsored with Books on the Common, is made possible thanks to all who donated to the Mothers: Live Your Life fund in honor of Noreen L. Papa, a Ridgefield mom and library advocate, who died of colon cancer in 2013. Through this fund her family and friends hope to keep the memory of Noreen alive and help other mothers live a more healthy life. Donations to the fund support Library programs and collections dedicated to promoting women’s health and wellness. For more information visit ridgefieldlibrary.org/Give to the Library/ Noreen L. Papa Fund.

The Ridgefield Library is located at 472 Main St. in Ridgefield, Conn. For more information, call (203) 438-2282 or visit ridgefieldlibrary.org.
