The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, nationally renowned for innovative school art programs, is introducing an exciting new after-school program for students in grades four through six. Each week, participants in After School at The Aldrich will explore a new gallery and exhibition with Museum educators, developing a palette of materials, colors, and ideas to be used to create one-of-a-kind installations, culminating in a mini-exhibition in the Education Center.
The fee for the series of five Wednesday workshops, plus the exhibition, is $150 per child for Aldrich Family members, and $180 per child for non-member families. The weekly 4:30 to 6 pm program features a unique series of carefully sequenced sessions where participants will learn techniques used by the exhibiting artists and apply them to a final project which will be presented to family and friends on the final day.
