Country superstar Wynonna Judd at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, March 6 with her Stories & Songs Tour

From “She is His Only Need” and “No One Else on Earth” to “Only Love”, the list of Wynonna Judd’s hits runs long.  With her one-of-a-kind powerhouse voice and engaging storytelling flair, Wynonna will share the inspiration behind the hits and the friends she has made along the way when she brings her “Wynonna and Friends: Stories & Song” Tour to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, March 6, at 8 p.m.

This Platinum recording artist/songwriter and five-time Grammy winner will be accompanied by her 3-piece band which includes her husband/producer Cactus Moser. Special guest is Pete Scobell, a former Navy SEAL and country music newcomer whose first album is Unfinished Business, featuring the reflective title track and moving ballad “For the Ones I Stand Beside”, which can be heard on the soundtrack for the major motion picture, The Hornet’s Nest. The Ancient Mariner (451 Main St., Ridgefield) will pour a free glass of house wine with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented. This event is part of the Northeast Builders of Ridgefield, LLC Country Series with media sponsor KICKS 105.5fm.

No surprise that Wynonna is also a New York Times bestselling author, having built her career on storytelling. She has been working with husband/producer/drummer Cactus Moser on solo material for her eighth studio album, due out this year. Wynonna won the ACM Female Artist of the Year award in 1993, a star on the Music City Walk of Fame in 2007 and the USO Merit Award for service to all divisions of the United States Armed Forces in 2005.

For tickets ($90), call the box office at 203-438-5795 or order online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
