Tina Phillips Art Show Opens at Keeler Tavern Museum’s Carriage Barn May 1

Tina Phillips Art Show “Love the Journey” to Open in Keeler Tavern Museum’s Carriage Barn on May 1 as part of Spring Stroll

“Love the Journey,” featuring new works by local artist Tina Phillips opens at Keeler Tavern Museum’s Carriage Barn with a reception on Friday, May 1, from 5 – 9 PM in conjunction with Downtown Ridgefield’s Spring Stroll. The show, which continues through Sunday, May 10, includes new watercolors, like the one titled “Altar Rock” depicted in the photo, as well as large scale acrylic canvases, textile jewelry and collages. According to the artist, every work in this show chronicles a specific journey. A portion of the artist’s sales will go towards the restoration of the historic Carriage Barn, which was designed and built by renowned architect Cass Gilbert in 1910.

Says Tina Phillips, “Inspired by the many ‘paths’ in life, the journey is a metaphor for both the inner journey as well as the personal choices and changes that make up life. I hope my new show will resonate with visitors on a very personal level.”

The public is invited to join the artist on Saturday, May 9, from 5 – 7 PM for a “Paint with the Artist” event at the Carriage Barn. A $25 donation to Keeler Tavern Museum includes painting materials as well as light refreshments.

Show hours are Saturday to Thursday, May 2 to 6, from 11 AM to 4 PM as well as Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10, from 11 AM to 4 PM. All of Tina Phillips’ work can be seen on her website at www.tinaphillipsartist.com.
