Three locals work together to host Garden Lunch and Author Talk

The Garden of Ideas, the Ridgefield Library and 109 Cheese and Wine will present a weekly Garden Lunch at the Garden of Ideas on Wednesday afternoons through September 30. Beginning on Wednesday, May 6, come and enjoy A Garden Lunch, Feed the Body, Expand the Mind from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Bring you own lunch or purchase a choice of salads and sandwiches made from the Garden’s own bounty as well as stroll through the meadows, marshes and woodland to enjoy some well deserved tranquility. Each week after lunch a local writer, some coming from the Ridgefield Library’s creative writing group as well as the founder of The Garden of Ideas Joe Keller, will read from their work.

On May 6, Priscilla Whitley, the facilitator of The Candlewood Writers Workshop, and a published memoir writer, will read a selection from a recent publication.

The Garden Lunch will be held every Wednesday. All are welcome to lunch, enjoy the program and then relax in the solitude of The Garden of Ideas luscious grounds. The cost is $5 excluding lunch and $3 for CSA members.
