Cocktails, Canapes, and Shopping! The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum’s First Fridays Introduces WARE

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum’s popular First Fridays contemporary cocktail party will feature a new attraction this summer—WARE, a temporary roving store featuring a changing selection of crafted products.

Starting with the June 5 First Fridays, from 7 to 9 pm, guests will not only enjoy live music, cocktails on the patio, and a guided tour of the Circumstance series of exhibitions, but will also be able to shop for unique items including—sterling silver, gold, and brass jewelry; functional and decorative ceramics; coiled cotton rope baskets, notebooks; pet toys; beeswax candles; turned wood bowls; silk scarves; blown glassware; cutting boards, and MORE!

The evening will swing to the cool jazz and blues sounds of the Sarah Lemieux Quartet, while hors d’oeuvres will be served courtesy of popular Wilton caterer Marianne Wilson.

The WARE vendors will include Andrea Corson Jewelry, Beth Bolgla Ceramics, Doug Johnston rope baskets, Eric Bonnin Ceramics, Gina Furnari, Kitty Jones, Niho Kozuru Studio, Platform, SUGURU, Ten Willow Studio, and Wickham Solid Wood Studio.

First Fridays admission is $15 for Aldrich members, $20 for non-members, and free for Aldrich Insiders (members at the $500 level and above). For further information, call 203.438.4519. The Aldrich is located at 258 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT 06877. All exhibitions and programs are handicapped accessible. Free on-site parking.
