Ridgefield will host a Film Festival in 2016

Touted as "the filmmakers film festival," Ridgefield Independent Film Festival (RIFF), May 20-22, 2016, is a unique and selective festival where each film is curated towards its venue. With venue partners such as the Aldrich Contemporary Museum of Art, The Ridgefield Playhouse, The Ridgefield Library and Garden Of Ideas, this festival seeks to give comfort and aid to the hard working filmmaker, presenting films with style and aplomb, and giving the filmmaker what s/he most deserves, respect for their creation and a discerning and sophisticated audience.

Ridgefield, Connecticut and the surrounding area is home to many artists who have achieved great success in their field. Our panels, workshops and networking events reflect that community and seek to empower the independent filmmaker with knowledge and the sharing of craft and connections. All submitted films will be screened by the local community and judged on a point system for craft, originality and storytelling.
