Girls Guns & Glory (& free beer) at The Ridgefield Playhouse on October 1

Looking for a fun night out with friends?  Want to be one of the first to hear new music from up and coming artists?  The Northeast Builders of Ridgefield, LLC Emerging Artist Series in partnership with the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut at The Ridgefield Playhouse has just the ticket!  For only $28 you can meet up with friends for happy hour, hear a rising music star – and get one free beer with every ticket purchased!  On Thursday, October 1 at 7:30pm the country and rockabilly throwback Girls Guns and Glory take the stage of The Ridgefield Playhouse.

The Boston born foursome led by singer-guitarist Ward Hayden, may come from the North, but their sound is pure south of the Mason-Dixon line.  They take their inspiration from the music of '50s rock 'n' roll icons and vintage country legends, most notably Hank Williams. Their latest album and tour, "A Tribute To Hank Williams Live" –a passion project for the band - celebrates Williams country classics like "Hey, Good Lookin'" and "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," among many others.  Dine out with friends before the show at Sucré Salé (109 Danbury Road, Ridgefield) and enjoy a complimentary glass of house wine or draft beer with your entrée when tickets are presented.  This night of country and vintage rock is also part of the new Mountain Dew Country Series with media partner 90.7fm WFUV – where music discovery starts.

Starting things off is Nashville recording artist Nashville Drive, Connecticut’s premier modern Country band paying tribute to today’s country favorites as well as performing originals. Covering a wide range of today’s top country artists from Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Billy Currington, George Strait and more! Nashville Drive has opened for other artists such as Colt Ford, Craig Campbell, Robert Randolph & The Family Band and Changes In Latitude.

For tickets ($28), call or visit the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse, (203) 438-5795. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT; ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
