Dave Mason brings a night of Solo and Traffic hits to The Ridgefield Playhouse on October 2

 

Dave Mason - Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and TRAFFIC co-founding member is gearing up for fall tour dates of DAVE MASON’S TRAFFIC JAM.  This multimedia retrospective of Traffic makes a stop at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, October 2 at 8 p.m. as part of the Pepsi Rock Series powered by Xfinity.  The iconic singer, songwriter and guitarist has been touring and recording regularly since he co-founded Traffic in 1966, after which he went on to a successful and acclaimed solo career as well as recording and/or touring with artists including Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Delaney & Bonnie, Graham Nash, Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Fleetwood Mac and more. 

The “Traffic Jam” concert will feature hits and deep album cuts from 1967’s Mr. Fantasy and 1968’sTraffic albums and additional Traffic jams, plus new material and classic Dave Mason music. Renowned for such Traffic hits as “Feelin’ Alright” (covered by Joe Cocker) and “Hole In My Shoe” plus his solo signature tracks “We Just Disagree” and “Only You Know and I Know,” Mason is excited to perform the music of Traffic.  “I think that it is important to keep alive the legacy of four young men from the heartland of England and their contribution to contemporary music,” says Mason.  Start your night off with dinner at Gallo (5 Grove Street, Ridgefield) and enjoy a complimentary glass of house wine with your entrée when tickets are presented.  Media sponsor for this event is 95.1fm The Home of Rock and Roll!
