Grammy Winners Buddy Guy & Tom Hambridge at The Ridgefield Playhouse November 8

He’s the last of the living blues legends.  Six-time Grammy Award winner Buddy Guy blends the genres of blues and rock and roll like no other performer has. His live concerts are legendary, they transcend the blues and become theater.  With his latest album “Born To Play Guitar” Buddy Guy has stayed at the top of Billboard’s Top Blues Album charts since it was released on July 31.

“Born To Play Guitar”marks Guy’s fifth #1 album on Billboard’s Top Blues chart and twelfth Top 10 Billboard Blues album.  Touring in support of the album, Buddy Guy makes his only Connecticut stop at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, November 8 at 8 p.m. as part of the Pepsi Rock Series powered by Xfinity.  The recent recipient of the 2015 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Buddy Guy's incredible career spans over 50 years with just as many albums released. His career highlights include 6 Grammy Awards, 28 Blues Music Awards, Kennedy Center Honors, NARM Chairman's Award for Sustained Creative Achievement, Billboard Music Awards' Century Award for distinguished artistic development, Presidential National Medal of Arts, and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
