Home for the Holidays: RSO Gives Musical Gift to Ridgefield on December 5

 

The holiday season evokes memories of hearth and home, the remembrance of days past spent with family and friends.  Come home for the holidays and celebrate the season with your friends and neighbors as the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra offers its annual musical gift to the community, the RSO’s Holiday Celebration, on Saturday, December 5th, 8:00 pm, at Ridgefield High School’s Anne S. Richardson Auditorium.          

Maestro Jerry and the RSO have put together a program of holiday music sure to put a smile on your face and the holiday spirit in your heart!  And holidays favorites are at the musical “heart” of the performance.  Sleigh Ride, White Christmas, O Holy Night and more time-honored seasonal music as it can only sound when performed live by a world-class symphony orchestra.       

Joining the RSO for this performance is multi-talented mezzo-soprano Jessica Medoff, who will be featured in varied holiday music from Handel’s Messiah to Frank Loesser’s Baby, It’s Cold Outside as well as in traditional carolsspecially arranged for Ms. Medoff and the RSO for this performance by Maestro Steichen.  And as an extra-special guest, the RSO welcomes Ridgefield’s own Emmy-award winning journalist, author and emcee, Ira Joe Fisher. 

Come home for the holidays, come home to Ridgefield’s own inimitable musical treasure, and enjoy an evening of seasonal favorites and good cheer with your friends and neighbors at the RSO’s Holiday Celebration!
