Home for the Holidays with the RSO on Saturday night

Home for the Holidays.  A tired cliché perhaps, but a perfect definition of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 5th, 8:00 pm, at Ridgefield High School’s Anne S. Richardson Auditorium. 

A celebration of community and family, the concert combines traditional musical favorites, world-class musical artistry and an extra special local guest into a perfect evening of holiday cheer for the entire family!

Maestro Jerry Steichen has assembled a concert sure to warm the icy heart of even the grumpiest of Scrooges.  On the program are holiday classics- White Christmas, Sleigh Ride and Winter Wonderland- along with many other seasonal favorites.  Multi-talented mezzo-soprano Jessica Medoff will be featured in “He Shall Feed His Flock” from the Messiah as well as in traditional seasonal favorites, including a number that have been specially arranged for this concert by Maestro Jerry!  “Twas the Night Before Christmas, and who is stirring?  Ridgefield’s own Emmy Award winner, poet, and all around Renaissance man Ira Joe Fisher!  Ira will be narrating this holiday classic along with the world premiere of a poem written especially for this occasion.
