RSO rehearses for this weekend's Redemption through Love concert

RSO Begins Rehearsals for Redemption through Love

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra began rehearsals yesterday evening for Saturday’s Redemption Through Love concert, and based upon last night, concertgoers can look forward to an incredible performance!

Guest Conductor, and long-time friend of the RSO, Petko Dimitrov put the orchestra through its paces, polishing the scores to Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman Overture, Schumann’s Second Symphony and Rimsky-Korsakov’s all-time audience favorite Scheherazade.

Joining the RSO in Wagner’s Flying Dutchman Overture were a group of student musicians from the Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra. They will be performing with the RSO on Saturday evening, adding their youthful verve and enthusiasm to the concert opener! Petko Dimitrov is both former Assistant Conductor of the RSO and the former Music Director of the WCYO, so this is truly a “double” homecoming for everyone involved!

The weather forecast for Saturday calls for cool temperatures, but no snow! Warm the heart of your Valentine this most romantic weekend of the year with world-class performances of works with the theme of love by the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra!

Tickets and more information for the RSO’s February 13th performance are available online at the orchestra’s website, www.RidgefieldSymphony.org. Or call the RSO Box Office at 203-438-3889 today!
