Israeli Songs for Peace with Shlomo Shai and Friends on Friday May 13th 7:30 PM at Shir Shalom in Ridgefield.
The community is welcome to attend a Music Shabbat on Friday May 13th featuring the music of Israel. In addition to our musical guests, we will have teen emissaries from the Jewish Philanthropy of CT. These teens come to our community to work with schools and youth programs to educate about Israel and share the love of culture and history. They are high school graduates who are about to enter into the army. They are wonderful and inspiring young leaders.
Shlomo Shai is one of the most versatile entertainers in the Jewish music scene. He is an accomplished accordionist/pianist, singer, bandleader, composer and a delightful humorist.
He has a rich and varied international repertoire of music that includes Israeli, Klezmer, English Pop, Yiddish and Ladino. He has appeared in Jewish/Israeli concerts, clubs, radio and TV throughout the United States, Canada and Israel.
