Eating for Two: Prenatal Nutrition and Nutrition for Breastfeeding Moms at RVNA on June 11

 

The Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is offering a two-part Nutritional Program on Saturday, June 11 and Saturday, June 25 at RVNA Center for Exceptional Care, 27 Governor Street in Ridgefield. RVNA Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Educator, Meg Whitbeck will be the presenter. On Saturday, June 11, learn what is necessary to fuel baby’s growth and development during pregnancy and enjoy some delicious snacks that will curb cravings and promote healthy weight gain during pregnancy.  On Saturday, June 25, learn strategies to nourish yourself while nourishing your baby and discuss safe postpartum weight loss strategies to help get in shape as a new mom. Babies are Welcome! Each class is 10-11am. The fee is $23 per session or $32 for both sessions. Please RSVP to 203.438.5555.

About The Speaker

Meg Whitbeck, MS, RDN, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Scranton and a Masters of Science degree in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State University. She is the Registered Dietitian and Nutrition at RVNA, where she designs classes for nutrition and meal planning geared toward healthy family meals, weight management, heart health and diabetes; as well as classes for seniors and caregivers.
