Survivor and Advocate Speaks Out on June 8 at Ann's Place

Cancer survivor and advocate talks "Young Adults Facing Cancer" on  Wednesday, June 8 beginning at 6:30 on at Ann's Place

Jack Bouffard, a founding member of the Young Adults Group at Ann’s Place, will discuss his experience of cancer, the challenges of young adults facing cancer, and his advocacy at the national level for young adult cancer survivors. Jack will also be discussing organizations that serve the young adult survivors, including First Descents, which sponsors outdoor adventure trips completely free of charge. Jack recently participated in a First Descents trip to Tanzania, Africa.

Jack is a “Sambassador” of the SamFund, a non-profit that provides support to young adults who are struggling financially because of cancer, and is involved in oth­er organizations that serve young adult survivors. Known for his wit and humor as well as his expertise, Jack is a frequent media spokesman on issues related to young adult survivorship.
