It’s a Night of Fundraising & Folk Rock with Delta Rae and Gabe Dixon June 24 at The Ridgefield Playhouse

Delta Rae – the hot, folk rock band from North Carolina, has been profiled everywhere from NPR to Time to Forbes. Part Bruce Springsteen and part Fleetwood the band was featured VH1’s “You Oughta Know Artist of the Month”. Delta Rae returns to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, June 24 at 8 p.m. as part of the Northeast Builders of Ridgefield, LLC Emerging Artist Series, Mountain Dew Country and Blues Grass Series and Pepsi Rock Series powered by Xfinity.

It’s also a great night to get out and support Parkinson’s Disease research. VIP Meet and Greet Tickets are available for an after show VIP Party – including beer, wine, dessert and meet and greet! All proceeds go directly to the Michael J. Fox Foundation dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease. This event is partially underwritten by Heather and Jeff Butchen. Their daughter Zoe Butchen is a Team Fox ambassador.

After learning of her father’s diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, 14-year-old Zoe Butchen knew she wanted to find a way to support her father and others living with the disease in any way she could. Being philanthropic-minded, Zoe combined three things that she loves — Taylor Swift, dancing and her family — to create a unique fundraiser to support a cure for Parkinson’s. Using Swift’s song “Shake It Off,” Zoe and her family launched a viral fundraising campaign challenging others to dance, shake and donate.

The night kicks off with Gabe Dixon. Dixon‘s self-titled album was named as one of the “Best Of The Year” by Paste, Village Voice (yearend critics poll) & others. His songs have been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC, CW and more. His song “Find My Way,” was the title theme for the #1 Sandra Bullock Film, “The Proposal.” Gabe is currently working on his next album in Nashville. Make it a fun night out with dinner and a show - visit The Hideaway (30 Grove Street, Ridgefield) for and enjoy a complimentary draft beer or glass of wine with your entree when tickets are presented. Media sponsor for this show is Danbury’s 98Q.
