Good Ole Fashioned SummerFest Happens TOMORROW in Ridgefield

On Saturday July 23, the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce will host its annual SummerFest spanning Bailey Ave and Main St to Prospect St.  The festival begins at 10am with music from DJ Sean “Big Daddy” McKee and will be followed by performances throughout the day from Ridgefield Bach to Rock and School of Rock Ridgefield. Festivities will end at 4pm and Main St will be reopened to vehicular traffic at 5pm.

As always, the festival will feature great sidewalk sales from our local merchants and more than 70 vendors showcasing their products and services.  New this year will be a Farmers Market where festival goers can pick up beautiful fresh produce and treats for weekend barbeques from The Hickories, Simpaug Farms, Hayfields and Veronica’s Garden as well as fresh cut flowers from The Porch or a nice cold iced tea from Cucumber and Chamomile Tea Shoppe.  The Farmer’s Market is sponsored by CorCystems Inc and Fairfield County Bank.

Additionally, there will be a KidsZone spanning Bailey Avenue and the Town Hall parking lot showcasing child friendly vendors and a variety of activities including an interactive race track, bounce house, face painting, air brushed tattoos, archery and so much more.  Don’t forget to stop by the photo booth and “say cheese” so you can have a cute memento from the day.  KidsZone is sponsored by Downtown Ridgefield, Kiwi Country Day Camp and Ridgefield Parks and Recreation.

With all the fun, you’re sure to work up an appetite and you can visit our festival food vendors as well as all our local eateries to satisfy your craving.  Festival food is sponsored by Union Savings Bank and Winters Brothers and features Tivoli Pizza in the KidsZone, Zawack Shack and Early Bird Café as well as Skips Ice Cream and fresh hot popcorn.

The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank our Title Sponsors: Corcystems Inc, Fairfield County Bank, Kiwi Country Day Camp, Union Savings Bank and Winters Brothers as well as our Supporting Sponsors: Abbey Tent & Rental, Bach to Rock, BMW of Ridgefield, Bruce Bennett Nissan, Casey Energy, Early Bird Café, M&T Bank, Mercedes Benz of Danbury, School of Rock, Tivoli Pizza & Trattoria and Westy Self Storage.
