Art Walk Kicks Off Tomorrow in Downtown Ridgefield

The streets and merchants of downtown Ridgefield will once again come alive with artists and artwork for out 3rd annual Art Walk Ridgefield.

This is Ridgefield Guild of Artists’ third annual Art Walk where sixty-one artists from Ridgefield and surrounding towns in Westchester and Fairfield County participate presenting paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and more in the fifty-four storefronts and inside stores of downtown Ridgefield.

Last year, the Guild expanded to The Marketplace at Copps Hill Common and will continue again this year at both downtown Ridgefield and Copps Hill areas.  Opening night is August 19th from 5-8pm where artists will be at the stores for opening receptions.  Saturday, August 20th, is Artist Day, with participating artists filling the streets with demonstrations.  RMAC musicians will provide some lively entertainment.  There will be a companion show, Walk on Down, at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists gallery barn at 34 Halpin Lane, featuring one piece from each participating artist.

Pam Stoddart, Executive Director and Chair of Art Walk 2016, invites everyone to “Come, celebrate the arts in Ridgefield!”  All artwork is for sale.  Proceeds from sales go back to the 501c3 non-profit organization to help with future programming. Sponsors for Art Walk 2016 are Fairfield County Bank, Olley Court, Ridgefield Apartments, Ridgefield Supply Co., Rockwell Art & Framing, Sturges Bothers, Tutoring Club, William Pitt Sotheby’s, and Union Savings Bank.
