LYL Day All Around Town on October 1st in Ridgefield

The Ridgefield Library is launching a new event on Saturday, October 1st to raise awareness of all the programs and services the Library has to offer as well as raise funds for the Library on this one day.

Open House 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Library:  Enjoy cider and cookies and write what you love about the Library on heart shaped notes to be displayed

Open House 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Firehouse:  Kids can tour the firehouse and sit in firetrucks.

Scavenger Hunt 11:00 am - 3:00 pm on Main Street:  Find LYL signs at local businesses and other locations - complete the hunt and be entered to win a prize.

Children's Author Showcase 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Library:  Meet favorite children's book writers and illustrators, hear stories, and more.

Performance by the nationally renowned Story Pirates from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Ridgefield Playhouse:  Including stories chosen from our Kid's Summer writing program and other favorites.  You can purchase tickets here.

Adult Author Showcase 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm at the Library:  Join authors from Ridgefield and beyond for book signing, readings, networking and more.  Includes a reception and awards ceremony honoring winers and participants in our inaugural short story writing contest.

Look for us around Town during the day, at various sporting events and other locations where we will be giving out LYL bookmarks and collecting donations!
