A Festival for Dogs & People on Sunday, October 16 benefits ROAR

You Won’t Be Bored or Hungry at this Year’s ROAR/Blue Buffalo Paws for the Cause Dog Festival

Change is in the air. This year the annual Paws for the Cause dog walk has a totally new look….it’s become a FESTIVAL for dogs, their people, and everyone of all ages. A fundraiser to benefit ROAR, the usual date and location have also changed. This year’s event is Sunday, October 16th, at Ridgefield Parks and Recreation, 195 Danbury Rd, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Rain or Shine.

Featured are the popular Doggie Fun Zone, an action-packed agility course, and a live demo with Loki, the police K9.  Family activities include paw-painting, children's crafts and art classes, and four-legged games and dog photo ops at the haunted house or kissing booth.

Music will be provided by three popular Brooklyn bands as well as Bethel's Quiet Giant (bring your blankets).  The Tipsy Terrier, a beer and wine tent, as well as four local food trucks serving grilled cheese, soup, hamburgers, hot dogs, tacos, BBQ and ice cream make for a full day of fun.

As a special feature Out of the Crate Inc. is presenting the first public reading of "Out of the Crate and Into the Pack: A children's story of Berkeley the Rescue Dog."
Early registration through October 1st is $10/person and $20/family on line. After October 1st, $15/person and $25/family.
