The Ridgefield Playhouse and Ridgefield Academy Family Series are bringing the spirit of Christmas to the stage on Saturday, November 19 at 11am and 2pm with “A Dickens Tale” - a retelling of the beloved Charles Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol. In this family friendly production, which is partially underwritten by Books on the Common, South Salem Animal Hospital and Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital, the audience will meet the mean old man named Ebenezer Scrooge who is transformed into a jolly, holiday loving man.
The show features all the classic characters from old Scrooge, bumbling Cratchit, Jacob Marley, the three ghostly visitors, a hilarious beggar woman and more – while teaching lessons about friendship, generosity, and the true meaning of Christmas. An unsuspecting audience member even has the opportunity to join our actors on stage in the role of Tiny Tim! After the show, you can meet the cast in the lobby and have your book signed! Before or after the show, visit Dimitri’s Diner (16 Prospect Street, Ridgefield) and enjoy 10% off your bill when tickets are presented! Media sponsors for this event are Macaroni Kid (Danbury-Bethel-Ridgefield) and Danbury’s 98Q.
For tickets ($15), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or visit ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a non-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
