Issues with Educating Children with Special Needs Symposium on November 16 from 8:30 am to 4pm at The Leir Retreat Center, 220 Branchville Rd, Ridgefield.
This workshop will explore the complicated issues in providing effective educational instruction to children with serious emotional and behavioral difficulties. Topics will include classroom behavior management from both clinical and educational perspectives, understanding language and communication disorders and exploring the role of psychological assessment in intervention planning. Green Chimneys School serves over 250 students and their families and provides integrated therapeutic approaches, special education and other supportive services.
