Evening Owl Prowl with the Discovery Center at Bennett’s Pond State Park in Ridgefield

Evening Owl Prowl

The Discovery Center at Ridgefield is hosting an Owl Prowl program for all ages on Saturday, November 12th at 7:00 P.M. at the Bennett’s Pond State Park in Ridgefield.

Join Discovery Center naturalist, Lars Cherichetti, on an evening search for owls through the meadows and woodland habitats of this beautiful property.  Mr. Cherichetti will share a wealth of information about our native owls and their ecology and conservation.  The program will continue with a field walk through one of the best owl habitats in Ridgefield in search of owls.  To draw them closer, Mr. Cherichetti will offer a few of his famous owl calls (in the past, he has been able to draw in Eastern Screech Owls, Barred Owls and Great Horned Owls).

Participants should dress for the outdoors.  Warm clothes, flashlights, binoculars, and sturdy boots are advised.

All ages are welcome.  This program is free, but donations are always welcome. Please call 203.438.1063 or visit the DC website www.ridgefielddiscovery.org to make reservations.
