Silver Platter Foundation Hosts Painting Party to Benefit Canvases for Cancer Art Show

Looking for something fun (& warm!) to do with your children on Monday, January 16, 2017? Ridgefield schools are closed for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and The Silver Platter Foundation invites the community to attend a “Painting Party” to benefit the 2nd Annual Canvases for Cancer Art Show.

Every one of all ages is invited to stop by The Ridgefield Recreation Center, located at 195 Danbury Rd., on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 to paint a canvas. The cost is $20 per person and a portion of all donations are tax deductible. All art supplies will be provided. Parents must be present.

Paintings may be taken home or donated to The Silver Platter Foundation for display and sale at their Art Show which will take place at the Ridgefield Recreation Center throughout February.   An Opening Night Art Show & Artists Reception is scheduled for Friday, February 3, 2017 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at The Rec Center.

The Silver Platter Foundation was founded by Ridgefield resident Rachel Langberg and is dedicated to providing goods and services to families affected by adult blood cancers with children living at home. The foundation is available to help with food, transportation, housekeeping, school supplies, clothing, or any other everyday need during a difficult time. To learn more, apply for assistance, or to make a donation, please visit SilverPlatterFoundation.org or email Rachel Langberg at Rachel@SilverPlatterFoundation.org.
