Her designs have graced the White House through many administrations and she’s coming to Ridgefield in April.
Ruth E. Loiseau is living the life many can only dream of – can you imagine waking up and heading to the White House to put together beautiful floral arrangements?
The Lounsbury Women’s Committee presents an afternoon with Ruth Loiseau, a nationally recognized master floral designer and lecturer in the art of floral design. Ms. Loiseau will present a talk and floral demonstration entitled “From the White House to Your House” on Thursday, April 20th at 1:00pm at Ridgefield’s historic Lounsbury House.
“We are so excited to have somebody of her caliber and experience come to Ridgefield to present at such a beautiful location. I can’t wait to hear stories from her years at The White House, and share her ideas and creativity with us,” said Amy Schmidt, event chair and member of the Lounsbury Women’s Committee.
Ms. Loiseau has created floral arrangements for White House events, dating back to Ronald Reagan’s administration. She has been involved with the White House for over 28 years. She has created designs for Congressional Barbeques, the visit of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, numerous State Dinners. She continues to assist with special events and will continue for the new administration.
While Ms. Loiseau arranges the designs, a slide show with pictures from previous White House events will be shown. Her presentation will be engaging and interactive so attendees can ask questions during the presentation.
