The "one-man band" Raul Midon to appear at The Ridgefield Playhouse on 3/26

Presented by Ingersoll Auto of Danbury World Music Series and Moffly Media Evening of Art, Wine & Jazz Series

Raul Midón is celebrated as one of music’s most distinctive and searching voices. Heralded as a “one-man band who turns a guitar into an orchestra and his voice into a chorus,” (NY Times), Midón has collaborated with such heroes as Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Jason Mraz, Queen Latifah and Snoop Dogg. Raul has released seven albums since 1999, including the hit studio productions State of Mind (’05), A World Within a World (’07) and Synthesis (’09). Blind since birth, Midón has lived a life devoted to shattering stereotypes. Having producer-engineered his most recent album using special computer software for the blind, Midón’s latest release include collaborations with Bill Withers, Lizz Wright, Richard Bona & Dianne Reeves.
