Residents Invited to Gather for National Day of Prayer Thursday, May 4 at Keeler Tavern

“Prayers for the People by the People”

This year, the Ridgefield community will have several options to participate in Ridgefield’s National Day of Prayer.

A community event will be held in the Garden House at Keeler Tavern on Thursday, May 4, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The participants will be led in an evening dedicated to praying for our Town, our Nation and our World. The national theme for this year is “For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear us, Forgive us, Heal us”.

This is a free event and all are welcome to attend. The evening will have music, reflection, prayer, and fellowship.

Additionally, nine Prayer Stations will be set up on the lawn of Ridgefield resident, Priscilla Black, 35 Midrocks Road. The Prayer Stations will be available and open to the public from sunup to sundown on Thursday, May 4. The nine stations which will be covered in prayer are Family, Government, Education, Church, Military, Community, Business, Media, and Recent Tragic Events.  “It turns out to be quite an experience of praying prayers of intercession for each area; I find myself quite emotional as I pray through the stations,” said Black.

For more information about this prayer event and a Home Bible Study led by Black, please call (203) 431-9768 or email pblack35@comcast.net.
