Trumpeter Louise Baranger plays the Great American Groove Book at The Ridgefield Playhouse on September 26

Ridgefield's own acclaimed trumpeter Louise Baranger will be performing at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Tuesday, September 26 at 8pm, and celebrating the release of her newest CD.
A native of Hollywood, CA, Louise's bands have played at The Emmy Awards Governors's Ball, The Millennium New Years Eve Celebration at Boston's Symphony Hall, concerts for President Bill Clinton, numerous private events and fundraisers in New York and Los Angeles, and more.

Her new CD Louise Baranger Plays The Great American Groove Book will be released in late September on Summit Records, her second album for the label. The recording offers a variety of Motown and other pop hits from the 60s and 70s, featuring Louise's fiery trumpet & mellow flugelhorn, plus a roster of special guests including Gil Parris, David Spinozza and Don Braden.  JazzTimes Magazine calls Louise Baranger “an accomplished and experienced instrumentalist with fire, range, and sophistication-strong chops and ideas on trumpet, piccolo trumpet, and flugelhorn.”

Come hear the debut of this hot new band at the Ridgefield Playhouse on September 26. Members of Louise's New York based all-star band have backed up John Lennon, Smokey Robinson, Tower of Power, Carly Simon and many more.  Ticket holders are invited for a pre-concert complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate the release of Louise's new CD .
