Record Breaking Attendance at Turkey Trot Benefiting Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield

More than 1,300 athletes gathered on East Ridge Road in Ridgefield at 8:30 am on a beautiful Thanksgiving morning to participate in the 36th Annual Turkey Trot, a popular event that benefits Ridgefield Boys & Girls Club.

Thank you to Big Daddy Sean McKee kicked off the day by singing the National Anthem and to the event Title Sponsor, Fairfield County Bank.

Smiles, camaraderie, and Thanksgiving warmed the hearts of runners and supporters!

The first to finish the 5k was Ian Mickool (19-39) of Ridgefield who clocked in at 16.45 minutes.

The first female to finish the race was Jenna Gasparrini (19-39) with a time of 18:37 minutes.

The fun continued beyond the finish line. Tazza was buzzing with adrenaline high locals who gathered with family and friends for post-race camaraderie.

The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield has been serving kids since 1936. Race proceeds help to serve over 3,000 kids each year.

Thank you to The Boys & Girls Club for organizing this beloved community event. What a great way to begin Thanksgiving!
