Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra presents exciting back-to-back spring concerts at the Ridgefield Playhouse!

The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to present virtuosic violinist Angelo Xiang Yu for Mozart: A Magnificent Evening at the Ridgefield Playhouse on March 17, 2018.

Mr. Yu's astonishing technique, exquisite tone and exceptional musical maturity have won him constant critical acclaim and enthusiastic ovations from audiences worldwide. In addition to sweeping the First Prize, Bach and Audience Prizes at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, he was awarded 2nd prize at the Lipinski Wieniawski International Violin Competition and 3rd prize at the Michael Hill International Violin Competition. Mr. Yu has also been chosen to join the roster of Lincoln Center's prestigious Chamber Music Society beginning with the 2018-19 season.

Come see brilliance in action as Mr. Yu and the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra perform an all-Mozart program: Overture to Don Giovanni, Divertimento No. 1, Concerto for Violin No. 4, and Symphony No. 41.

The RSO's March 17 Mozart concert is followed by its concert fundraiser at the Playhouse on April 21, 2018. Break of Reality is widely regarded as one of the world's best "indie-classical" chamber ensembles, selling out concerts in North and South America, Europe and Asia. The band's signature cello rock sound unites a diverse fan base of classical, rock and world music lovers. Classically trained at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, members of Break of Reality have taken a musical journey from busking in Central Park to attracting millions of listeners and viewers on Spotify, Pandora, and YouTube!

"We are very excited about our upcoming events at the Playhouse", says RSO Executive Director Laurie Kenagy. "Ridgefield not only has its own professional orchestra but brings world-class musical talent right here to our community. Tickets to the Mozart concert are going fast and the Break of Reality show will be an incredible live music experience as well as fundraiser for the RSO. We hope to see everyone there!"
