Ridgefield's Tewes Care Presents Hospital to Home Seminar Tomorrow

There are countless joys with being close to one’s elderly family member, however, for so many, they also come with difficulties, and at times complex obstacles. This is especially true with seniors who face illnesses or physical limitations. To help address these issues, and support those who care for their aging family, the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring two educational seminars on the topic.

These sessions, hosted by renowned experts in their fields, will start on February 25th, with the “From Hospital to Home- Navigating the Continuum of Care including Costs, Payor Sources and Tewes-TIPS” seminar. The event will be held at the First Congregational Church in Ridgefield, CT.

To lead the first event, the chamber turned to Leslie-Alin Tewes (MPA-Healthcare, CMC, LNHA, C., BA-Psy). Leslie is an expert advocate and consultant for seniors and the disabled.  She has extensive credentials and years of experience guiding those who are often overwhelmed by complicated health care systems.  Her clientele includes elders and adults coping with aging, acute or chronic conditions, psychiatric and/ or developmental disabilities.  She helps them understand their choices and find the best solutions to address their individual needs and preferences. Whether in the hospital, their own home or in-between, Leslie focuses on improving the patient experience, taking proactive steps to avoid exacerbation of conditions, identifying the options of her clients and advocating with intrepid determination for enhanced quality of care and quality of life.
