Sarah Bouissou, the owner of award-winning restaurants, Bernard's and Sarah's Wine Bar, is getting Koko Fit, just in time for Ridgefield's star-studded event, Dancing with The RSO: All - Stars Show. The popular dance competition will take place on March 15 at The Ridgefield Playhouse. .
Bouissou, a veteran to the popular competition, will dance alongside Morton Schnedler-Jensen, professional dancer with Fred Astaire.
"It's great to be part of such as special town event and support the RSO. There's no better time to improve my fitness level," says Bouissou.
Today, Bouissou's first day at Koko, began with a comprehensive fitness assessment followed by an introduction to the cardio and strength training equipment. Once the results of her assessment are analyzed, a personal training program will be designed with Bouissou's fitness level and goals in mind.
Bouissou, an avid runner and biker, admits that strength training is something lacking in her exercise routine. "My goal is to really firm up before the dance competition,"she says.
The gym's claim to fame? Carefully designed 45 workouts, combining both cardio and strength, that increase your body's lean muscle mass, keeping you strong, fit and healthy. "The workouts are effective and efficient. When you're 40 or older, your lean muscle deteriorates, Koko recommends strength training 3 times per week," says Koko FitCoach Lauren Sugar.
