How did RHS Rank in U.S. News & World Report's Best Public High Schools?

Every spring, U.S. News & World Report releases its "Best of Education" issue with information on colleges (both universities and smaller liberal arts colleges), graduate schools, high schools and even online education programs.

In 2014, Ridgefield High School (RHS) ranks 8th in Connecticut and 302nd nationally. RHS is 3rd among Fairfield County high schools, ranked below Weston High School (3rd) and Wilton High School (6th). Based on results from state level exams, RHS was awarded a gold medal based on students' mastery of college-level material. Among the many factors that were analyzed for the rankings were enrollment, test scores, student body, student/teacher ratio, proficiency in math and proficiency in English.
