Ice Cream, Music, and More at Founders Hall

On Aug. 8, Founders Hall celebrated its spectacular summer tradition with an annual ice cream social, sponsored by Laurel Ridge Health Care Center.

Members enjoyed an assortment of ice cream with a dazzling selection of toppings to meet all palate preferences. While there are very few sweets that embody the summer spirit more perfectly than ice cream, members had the extra special treat of listening to Ridgefield's very own singer-songwriter, Eliza Paltauf, who was visiting Founders Hall before going back to college. Her sultry, blues melodies accompanied by her acoustic guitar were warmly welcomed with friendly smiles and rounds of applause. Eliza's passion for music was very evident as she sang songs of love, friendship, hardships and good times. Many of her songs are her own original lyrics, developed throughout her years growing up in Ridgefield and her experiences at a young age, and she even debuted one of her newest songs for the first time. She has been a regular opening act at the Ridgefield Playhouse for many artists and her face is definitely familiar around town.

Founders Hall wrapped up the special summer event with treats provided by National Charity League, which were served by member volunteers.
