UPDATE: Missing Bernese Mountain Dog Found Safe!

UPDATE: The dog has been happily united with his owner! After we posted this story on our Facebook page, a town resident recognized the dog and shared his location. The owner quickly went to the place where Sirus was spotted and found him! He is thrilled to have his dog back and as a thank you, purchased a Starbucks card for the two women helped unite dog and master. Here are a few of the posts from our Facebook page:

  • Karen: I saw this dog on 116 just an hour ago near the CT state line...I stopped and tried to see if I could get his tag but he ran away. I was worried he was going to get hit
  • Sean: That's really helpful as that sounds like it's just what Sirus would do. I'm, headed there soon!
  • Sean: Sirus is FOUND!! Thanks all. Amazing how quickly the social media engine worked to identify his location. I've got a Starbucks card for Leah and Karen!! Thank you everyone for your help! We're all so happy to have him back.

Missing Dog: seven year old Bernese Mountain Dog, male, named Sirus. Last seen on Tuesday night on upper Barrack Hill Road. Please call, Tao Connelly, (203) 644-5745, if you see him. He probably will not let you approach him.
