The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce, together with the Ridgefield Prevention Council and Ridgefield Parks and Recreation, hosted a the first ever Destination Wellness healthy living expo at Ridgefield Recreation Center today. Sponsors included Stop & Shop and Western Connecticut Health Group.
A keynote was delivered by Drug & Alcohol Counselor, Elizabeth Jorgensen who spoke with humor about how parents can teach their teenagers to live a healthy lifestyle. Local eateries including BareBurger, Food Evolution and Piccolo Pizza were on hand with health food options.
The Chamber hopes Destination Wellness becomes a town-wide tradition. By the enthusiasm of today's attendees and presenters, they are off to a great start!
