Ridgefielder helps hockey team win tournament

The Kent School's Girls Ice Hockey team won the prestigious Taft Holiday Tournament this weekend. Kerry Sheehan-Delany, a Ridgefield resident, is a forward on the team and her teammate, Maddie Kabasakalian, also has a connection to Ridgefield as her grandparents, Harry and Nancy Kabasakalian, have been residents of Ridgefield for more than 50 years.

The Kent Girl's hockey team won the tournament in convincing fashion, thrashing previously undefeated Phillips Academy Andover 5-1 in the finals after defeating the Loomis Chaffee School, the Hotchkiss School and the Lawrenceville School earlier in the tournament.

The team is currently 7-0-1.
