Long Island University - LIU Post junior goaltender Adam Winne (Ridgefield, Conn.) has been dubbed the East Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, it was announced Monday evening.
Winne, a first-time recipient of the award from the league, made 11 stops apiece in a pair of wins over East Coast Conference foes UDC (Mar. 17) and Chestnut Hill (Mar. 21). He also boasted an impressive 5.49 goals-against average and a .688 save percentage in the process.
Winne currently owns a record of 7-1 on the season. He has recorded 73 saves, to go along with a 6.96 GAA, which ranks fourth-best amongst Division II goalies.
Winne and the Pioneers are back in action Wednesday (Mar. 25), when they do battle with Post in a non-conference tilt in Waterbury, Conn. The opening faceoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
