Gabrielle Bouissou one of more than 1,800 students welcomed to SUNY New Paltz for 2015-16 academic year

SUNY New Paltz has admitted more than 1,100 first-year students, about 700 transfer students and nearly 500 international students for the fall 2015 semester.

Gabrielle Bouissou of Ridgefield is among the newest members of the New Paltz campus community.

"This is an exciting time to be at New Paltz," said L. David Eaton, vice president for enrollment management. "The College once again has met its admission targets to support our goal of maintaining a stable undergraduate enrollment. We are proud to welcome these competitive, diverse and academically talented students."

This year also marks the 26th consecutive year New Paltz had more applications for undergraduate admission (17,720) than any other SUNY comprehensive college.

Located in the heart of a dynamic college town, ninety minutes from metropolitan New York City, the State University of New York at New Paltz is a highly selective college of about 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
