Teachers, this is your chance. Come find out about your fertility reserve. No pressure that you should or need to have a baby right now. Maybe having a baby is in the long, distant future. Even if that’s true, even if having a baby is a decade away, come get a baseline AMH.

If having a baby is in your future, even a not so near future, come find out some simple, basic facts about conceiving.

It’s free. It’s convenient. And it’s what we offer our teachers as a thank you for the hard work that they do all year long. ~ Lisa Rosenthal

For the third consecutive summer, female teachers interested in their reproductive health, whether they plan to start a family now or in the future, can visit Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT) for a free anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) blood test. AMH is an excellent measure of a woman’s ovarian reserve, which naturally declines with age. For more details and to register for the event, teachers may visit: www.rmact.com/teachers or email amh@rmact.com.

“AMH testing provides important information, and it has helped many teachers in the past two years to make decisions about their family building,” says Dr. Spencer Richlin, a partner and fertility expert at RMACT. “As any teacher will tell you, education is important. The earlier we have this information, the more options patients have in the future regarding their reproductive health.”

Free AMH Fertility Testing for Teachers in Connecticut

Now through August 31, any female teacher interested in her reproductive health, whether she plans to start a family now or in the future, can visit any of RMACT’s four Connecticut locations (Danbury, Norwalk, Stamford and Trumbull). RMACT’s medical staff will be available to draw blood for the AMH tests from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Monday through Friday on a walk-in basis.

Teachers who come to RMACT will have their blood drawn and will receive a phone call from an RMACT nurse with results within 10 business days. The AMH blood test can be drawn at any time of a woman’s menstrual cycle, even if she is on Birth Control Pills so there is no special scheduling required. If the teacher finds she is in need of fertility treatment or further testing, RMACT will give her a $250 credit towards treatment costs at RMACT.

AMH levels are widely recognized as a reliable indicator of a woman’s reproductive potential; however, for a more thorough understanding of their fertility, patients should schedule an individual consultation at RMACT that includes a complete diagnostic work-up. For women, this diagnostic testing includes AMH, follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and hysterosalpingogram (HSG). For men, who contribute to up to 40 percent of infertility issues, diagnostic testing includessemen analysis. Both partners will also discuss their family and medical histories during their initial consultations.

As teachers, you know that sometimes students procrastinate. Finding out about your fertility potential can help you plan your families future so take advantage of this free opportunity to learn more about yourself.

We are looking forward to meeting you.
