Safest place to lay your head in Connecticut? BackgroundChecks.org, a public records database, says Ridgefield gets top prize.
"Our list was compiled based on FBI violent crime stats and proprietary BackgroundChecks.org research data, BackgroundChecks.org states on their website. "Ridgefield is the safest place to live in Connecticut, with a violent crime rate of 4, and the chance of being involved in a property crime here just .03%," they add.
Second safest place to live is Darien, followed by Canton, Wilton, Madison, and Brookfield.
