RVNA puts a spotlight on Ridgefield families during July 21 Focus Groups

Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is conducting two focus groups on Thursday, July 21, to learn about health and life concerns facing Ridgefield families with children in the home, part of an RVNA effort to design new services for this demographic group.  Both groups will be held at RVNA’s new building, Center for Exceptional Care, located at 27 Governor Street.

“Our goal is to find out as much as we can about what life is like today for parents and their families, so that we can design services and programs that can be of assistance to them.  Our mission includes community health and wellness, and promoting the highest quality of life for all,” said Theresa Santoro, RVNA President and CEO.

Lili Schroppe, RVNA Marketing and PR Manager, added, “This demographic group is juggling a lot of balls in the air, such as raising children and assisting aging parents.  Now that we have the space in our new building for new services and classes, this seemed like a good time to connect with them to find out what is on their minds and how RVNA can help.”

One focus group will be held at 10:00 am on July 21, and RVNA volunteers will provide onsite babysitting while the focus group is in session.  The other focus group will be held at 7:30 pm, also on July 21.  Both groups will take about an hour and a half.  Light refreshments will be served at both, and all participants will be entered to win a gift basket.  The only requirement for participation is to have children younger than 18 in the household.

Ridgefielders interested in participating should RSVP to RVNA by calling 203.438.5555 or by signing up online at ridgefieldvna.org.
