When a 911 call came in from Prime Burger in Ridgefield on Monday reporting an unconscious female, paramedic Nick Paproski promptly responded. "We responded, the woman had no pulse, she suffered cardiac arrest," said Fire Chief Kevin Tappe. "She was sitting there - dead," he added.
Paproski immediately administered CPR and brought the woman back to life.
"She was very agitated and we had to convince her to go to Danbury Hospital - she wanted to drive herself home," explained Tappe.
The woman, who has not been identified due to HIPAA regulations, was eventually transported to Danbury Hospital.
Thank you to Ridgefield Police and Firefighters who arrived at the scene, to the Prime Burger patron who called 911, and to paramedic Nick Paproski who successfully administered CPR. The community truly came together to save a life.
