Tropical Storm Hermine is currently in the Gulf of Mexico expected to pass through Florida on Friday and head up the Eastern Coast. Currently the storm is expected to be west of Ridgefield, but it is fairly certain that it will cause dangerous tides in our area, especially the Long Island Beaches.
At this hour NOAA predicts a 10% chance of heavy winds and rains from the storm, and a more accurate forecast will be available later in the week.
