New Sounds for the Synagogue CD Now Available
In honor of the creation of Congregation Shir Shalom of Westchester and Fairfield Counties, this cd was recorded with mostly new music to bring our community together in song and spirit.
One song was commissioned and co-written by Beth Styles and Cantor Deborah Katchko-Gray especially for the new congregation, “ Shir Shalom” It is based on a teaching by Cantor Katchko-Gray’s cousin, Cantor Leopold Szeer of blessed memory. “ Be the light of hope, be the light of peace, be the light of spirit, a ner to the world…” The songs include Noah Aronson’s new , “ Hayom T’amtzeinu” and an adaptation of “ The Water is Wide” to Oseh Shalom.
All proceeds will benefit the Music Fund at Congregation Shir Shalom.
